Yoga For World Peace

World Peace Starts Within

Make a pledge for world peace this coming Family Day at Jai Yoga Studio

Jai Yoga Studio, located on 1140 Austin Avenue, Coquitlam is making a pledge for world peace and is inviting the local community and beyond to take a stand with them. Jai Yoga Studio is offering a free, 75-minute community yoga class this Family Day, February 17th at 11 am. In this yoga class, yoga instructors Jai Singh and Prem Kaur will lead participants through a gentle yoga practice and meditation that will cultivate contentment and inspire participants to promote peace within themselves and towards others in their daily lives.

“Prem and I were talking one morning about what’s going on between the US and Iran and how there are memes going viral around the internet about impending world war three. And then, not to mention the terrifying effects of climate change and politicians and big corporations are simply not doing anything to mitigate that,” Jai Singh who is the owner of Jai Yoga Studio, says when asked about the inspiration behind his yoga studio’s Yoga For World Peace event on Family Day. “World peace starts from ourselves,” Prem Kaur says. “World peace can be achieved if we are feeling at peace with ourselves and only then do we take action towards promoting world peace outside of ourselves.”

Singh and Kaur are the husband and wife duo behind Jai Yoga Studio, who world tirelessly to create a space where the local community can come for yoga classes to feel centered and at peace mind, body and spirit. Jai Yoga Studio opened its doors on July 28th, 2019 and has already become a favorite of many Tricities residents and beyond.
